Lakota

The Lakota tribe is an Indian tribe.
The Lakota tribe can be called the Sioux.
Bufflos real name is bison.
Lakota uses every part of the bison!

skin = tepee
bones = tools
horns = cups
hair = ropes
ribs = sleds

Annie and Jack in Lakota is Buffalo Girl and Rides-Like-Wind.
Holding up two fingers means friend.
In the 1800's there were about 4 million bison!

Beavers

A fully grown beaver can be over 40 inches long including its tail.
In spring and summer they eat fresh green leaves and grass.
Beavers chew on trees to get wood for their dams.
Beavers also chow on it so their teeth don't grow that long.
In the fall beavers eat woody stems.
Beavers live in dams.
Beavers can chew through a small tree in just a few minutes!

Cats

Cats use their whiskers to see if they can fit through a hole.
Cats can come in all different colors, patterns, and sizes.
When cats walk, they pull their claws in.
When cats are just born, they don't open their eyes.

I Wish

Dear Everybody,

I wish a new tree was planted everyday.
I wish everybody had enough money to buy food, water, clothes and a house.
I wish cars that run on things that did not polute the air.
I wish people would not smoke.

One Little Snowman

Once upon a time, there was a snowman.
Her mom told her you have to go out to seek your fourtune.
So the snowman went to Australia to seek its fourtune.
But it almost melted.
The snowman went to Sweden.
It was a little bit better, but not cool enough for her.
So she went to Antarctica and lived happilly ever!

Hippopotamus

Hippopotamuses are mammals.
Hippopotamuses live in African rivers.
Hippopotamuses' nickname is Hippo.
Hippos stay in water all day to keep cool.
At night they head out of the water to eat grass.
Hippos are huge!
I think hippos are fun to learn about!

The pig cleared out the cheese and put out pork instead.
So then everybody left
